...MYTH ABOUT BLACK TAJ MAHAL
There is a widespread preconception among tourists that King Shah Jahan intended to construct a black Taj Mahal on the site where exists Mehtab Bagh. As per the researches of French traveller, Jean Baptiste Tavernier, Shah Jahan planned to build another Taj Mahal using black marble. Some believe that he had started constructing the foundation of the Black Taj Mahal at Mehtab Bagh but this project was abandoned because he was imprisoned by his blood, Aurangzeb. But excavations done by ASI opposed any construction activity done for the black Taj Mahal, and provide ample pieces of evidence that confirm the claim of the garden complex, ruined by floods. This claim is corroborated by a letter purportedly written by sixth Mughal emperor Aurangzeb addressing Shah Jahan about the dilapidated condition of the garden complex after the flood in 1652 AD. Tourist also visits Mehtab Bagh on full moon night. Our company, known for the essence of tourism, quality and personalized services, arrange Taj Mahal moon night tours packages every month on specified dates, subject to availability.

After the Mughals, the Mehtab Bagh came in possession of Raja Man Singh of the kachhwaha dynasty. Since 1990, ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) started renovating Mehtab Bagh.
